![]() ![]() And that’d be because I understand who this is and all that had led to this point based on what I saw depicted in the prequel. Now, if I’ve seen the story of BBS and then get to this part in the story of KHII, where I see Terra-Xehanort in the flashback and hear the name “Xehanort” spoken, I get fucking chills. Who Xehanort was BEFORE he became Ansem’s apprentice and what he’d be AFTER Xemnas was taken out in the finale of this game was not a concept at the time and really not of any significance for the story being told. ![]() #its only the fact that our main antagonist’s name is being brought up to our main protagonist #oh and don’t even mention that Sora and the real Xehanort won’t even have an actual face to face encounter until goddamn KH3 #this is fucking insane i hate itįUCKING THIS. This is one out of many reasons why making all installments of the series as we know into some big, sprawling, overwrought “Xehanort Saga” was such a dumb idea.Īt the time KHII was written and in the context of how it’s story was conceived, the only big deal right here was that Mickey finally remembered the Ansem Impostor’s name and who he’d really been before banishing Ansem into Darkness, taking his name for himself, and turning himself into a Heartless, creating a Nobody in the process.
